Hey People. Yeah, it's been awhile. Just here to drop a quick update on the world of the interweb to inform some of my nearest and dearest, and some that fall slightly below that category as well (if you think I mean you, I probably do) about what's going down in the world of The M.
I'm getting married on Friday. Yes, this Friday. July 25th. And yes, it's short notice.
See, my beautiful and wonderfully splendiferous fiancee Sara and I were intending on getting married next summer, once we had both graduated, or at least come touchingly close, and we could abscond to whatever part of the world my new job would take us. However, as planning and looking ahead to our intended July 25, 2009 nuptials began, we realized how great an undertaking it would be and how much precious time would be taken away from the work we desperately need to be doing in order to finish our respective degrees and get the hell out of grad school. Combined with the issues of having to deal with people, which is one of the least pleasant things about planning any type of organized event, we decided to go ahead and make our lives much easier by axing the big grandiose plans and getting married in a small, intimate ceremony this Friday, exactly one year before we originally intended.
So yeah, that's the main story and the main reason for the drastic move-up in the date of our wedding. We'll be having the cermony out in Greenport with our families and the original wedding party present, and that's it. Afterwards, we'll be heading over to Jerry and the Mermaid's in Riverhead for the afterparty and some lovely karaoke goodness, and we want to invite anyone who can attend there out for a good time to share in celebrating this momentous occasion. We'd love to see as many of you as can make it.

Yeah, so I originally wrote this on September 4th, but held off on posting for reasons which may be obvious, and probably some which may not be obvious as well. Anyway, I've read it a few times in the interim, and I have to say that I am a fan of it on many levels. Sorry if it gives away too much about me, but I think it's a damn interesting read either way. Creative at the very least. So grab a drink, crank the Metal, kick back and enjoy your first view into the mind of That Guy.

Hello there. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am That Guy. Accent on the second word, as in "That GUY," if you please. Also, not to be confused with "THAT Guy," who is more often than not an unsavory fellow. Allow me a moment to demonstrate the possible differences brought about by simple inflection by using them in the following sentences:
"Hey, did you meet That Guy who was here with Marie last night? He was pretty cool."
"Why yes, That Guy was cool indeed. As opposed to the moron who got way too drunk and threw up all over my dad's Ron Jeremy collection."

Well, apparently That Guy is also a tad on the long-winded side, so I will wrap this one up here with a simple, "It's been a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Chalk it up to a moment of free time in the hectic-ness that have pervaded every known facet of my life of late, and to a long-awaited submission to the will of those bastards both here and on MySpace who keep harassing me because I haven’t posted anything in a significant amount of time.
